So if you’re a regular around here, you’ll know that this old heart of mine likes to skip a little beat every time I discover a new place to shop. To be fair (and if we were being strictly accurate), its probably my hubby’s heart that does the really impressive gymnastics when this happens. I’m thrilled to let you all in on my latest discovery – Emaan Home. If Scandinavian interiors are your vibe, then you’re you’re going to love this carefully curated selection of minimalist homewares and stationery (hello!). Founded by the lovely Shazia Ahmed, who moved to Dubai from Vancouver with her family in 2014, this spanking new online store is one to watch.

Concrete homewares, marble accessories, wall prints, contemporary plant stands, fair-trade rugs, hand-poured scented candles and clean minimalistic stationery are amongst the beautiful pieces you will find in this shop.

Launched just last month, the Emaan collection is very much in it’s infancy, but the store already features a some fab brands including Armadillo & Co. and Zakkia Homewares. Constantly on the lookout for lessor-known brands with a story to tell, Shania hopes to expand the product range to include accent furniture pieces and lighting in the future.

The brand has a core belief that happiness and fulfilment can be achieved by a life lived simply but beautifully – and that minimalism and refined living is the new luxury. A philosophy that I can honestly say I aspire to.
