Last year IKEA launched a limited edition collection called NIPPRIG, which I loved and wrote about here. The ceiling light from that range was particularly popular and I am so glad to have secured one for my bedroom before they were all gone. I only wish I had grabbed more! So, I was super excited to learn that my favourite Scandi furniture giant has just released another fabulous limited edition collection. This one’s called VIKTIGT (have a go at pronouncing that, folks!) – and it’s the result of a collaboration with Swedish glass and ceramic designer, Ingegerd Råman. I have no doubt its going to be a huge success.
The collection includes simple and delicate glassware, a ceramic dinnerware line and earthy furniture pieces and accessories, woven by Vietnamese craftsmen from natural fibres. Think water hyacinth, rattan, bamboo and seagrass – all materials that engage the senses, not to mention my tribal chic mojo!
I can’t wait t get my hands on a few of these pieces, which are already in store.

Isn’t it exciting each time, IKEA releases a new collection. I just checked their website and I am not sure why but none of the new collection items seem to be in stock.

Yes, I checked with their UAE site, strange! Maybe there is a mistake, it surely isn’t possible that a newly released collection is sold out this quick! But if it does, I wouldn’t be shocked as the Viktigt collection is that good!
