Welcome back to another edition of Scene and Heard, an intentionally short and sweet series dedicated to sharing ad hoc snippets of cool things that have caught our eye on the interiors and lifestyle scene or newsworthy tidbits from our time spent online. Grab a cuppa and enjoy our April round-up.
1. SA Kids brands on our radars
We are going absolutely gaga over these proudly South African kids brands.
Flynn Jaxson – If you’re looking for some simple yet sophisticated clothing for your mini me, this brand’s for you. The folks at this chic label believe that childhood is too short to wear boring clothes, and we couldn’t agree more.
Sunny + Bear – What’s better than a children’s clothing brand that’s practical, whimsical and takes a sustainable stance? Sunny + Bear are taking steps to minimise their environmental footprint by using biodegradable and recyclable linen concealed press-stud instead of plastic buttons. Not only cute and comfy but a win for Mother Nature too.
Noa Kids – We can’t stop swooning over these deliciously adorable clothes for little minimalists. The SS18 collection is currently on sale. You can thank us later.
2. H&M X Rebel Walls
As big fans of both brands, we are thrilled to see news of the design collaboration between Swedish retail giant H&M and Rebel Walls. Talk about statement wall coverings for you home!
3. Monoprix X Oeuf NYC
Yet another exciting collaboration that’s caught our eye is Monoprix x Oeuf! The Stylish New York based kid’s brand, Oeuf NYC, has partnered with French high street favourite, Monoprix, to offer a limited edition range of clothings and decor items. You’ll have to shop online to grab any of these goodies.
4. H-Wardrobe by Rafa Kids
Bring a little wow to your little kiddies’ bedroom with this gorgeous piece of furniture from one of our Dutch favourites, Rafa Kids. The brand recently launched this wardrobe which, staying true to their modern and minimalistic style, is a practical piece of furniture with a superb design.
