Living away from your home country and family can be really difficult at times. It didn’t seem that bad when we first arrived here possibly because (A) living in a new and exciting city was still somewhat of a novelty, and (B), I hadn’t yet had kids. So it’s not at all surprising that I’ve found it increasingly challenging since the arrival of my children, who sadly, don’t get to spend much time with their extended family, especially grandparents. With this in mind, I consider myself very lucky to have my dear cousin (and closest friend since birth) living right here in Dubai! This means that our kiddos get to have at least some of their cousins as close friends as they grow up too. But I am digressing, as usual.

The point of this post is that the lovely Michelle, gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby girl a few months ago and of course I offered to make a birth announcement to commemorate the arrival of this precious little addition to our ‘Dubai family’.
