It’s that time of year when I find myself racking my brain and trawling Pinterest for cute teacher gift ideas. This year, our class representative mum has been super organized about arranging a group gift from the class. I’m totally on board with this win-win situation as the teacher gets a fabulous gift and we mums get to cross another item off the to-do list which seems to grow exponentially as the term and the school year draw to a close.
That said, I still like to have a little something that my kids can be involved in making. I think it’s important for them to experience gift-giving in person as it provides an opportunity for them to say a proper thank you to their teachers.
If you’re a regular here, you’ll know that I like my DIY’s in the ‘super simple’ category, so here’s what I’m whipping together this year…

Not a lot of work involved here, peeps! It’s really just a cheeky modification of my DIY reward jar from last month.
Get your hands on some glass jars, Smarties and/or cookies, printable labels and scissors. It’s really that simple.
Typically, I couldn’t find a larger glass jar for the cookie option when I had a free moment to take these photos… and by ‘couldn’t find’, I mean I wasn’t willing to leave the house… but a bigger one, like this from Ikea, would definitely be a nicer and more generous alternative ๐ A ribbon around the bottle neck would also spruce things up considerably.
