Favourite things roundup: April

favorite things roundup black and white

There’s been plenty of black and white on the blog this month, it’s no wonder my recent online browsing has been particularly focused in that direction. So it seems only appropriate to round up some of my favorite black and white finds as we bid farewell to another month.

Without further ado, here we go…

This black lace longhorn comes in at number one – and one with good reason – I AM OBSESSED with it and the creative talent behind the store it comes from. The intricate detail on this piece is amazing. Seriously, it’s one of those treasures that I almost wish I hadn’t found because (a) its inconveniently located far too many miles away from me, in Sweden (thank heavens for online shopping!), and (b) time spent swooning over their website and Pinterest boards is bordering on becoming clinically problematic for me.

Let’s just say that my new found love of Love Warriors has inspired a whole separate blog post, coming your way soon!

Yup, I’m still banging on about the beauty of exposed, Edison-style light bulbs. Love them so much, but am sometimes a little put off by the not-so-aesthetically-pleasing plastic electrical cables on full display. Cue the retro fabric covered cord which changes the whole dynamic. I’m all over this black and white striped one but there are so many funky colours to choose from.

I also found a great supplier for these on Etsy.

Zebra rug from Zara Home.

My husband will tell anyone who’ll listen that I have a basket fetish. So what. Can you ever really have too many baskets? This metallic baby from West Elm has caught my eye… again.

5

Decorative use of the Swiss cross is pure design genius, this stylish pillow from South African-based homewares store, Zana (available on Etsy), would work in any space. Think of it as an accent with an accent ๐Ÿ™‚

And that’s all for now, folks.
