Wowzers, it cat believe its Friday – and basically the end of May too! Is anyone else completely stunned that we are almost half way through this year? Remember those days as a kid, when a year felt like a lifetime. Sigh….those really were the days.
So, on the subject of kids, my roundup for this month features some of my favorite pieces for little boys’ rooms.
1
I recently discovered an amazing Dubai-based company called POMME which produces a beautiful range of handmade kids furniture. Available in white and a range of signature pastels, the designs are simple, practical and stylish.
I love the idea of using this clothes rack to store my son’s extensive collection of superhero costumes. Not only will all the colorful costumes serve as a funky decorative accessory but it would keep him and his mates from ransacking his entire wardrobe every time duty calls… which, let’s face it, is almost always.

This toy box is another item on the POMME must-have list. Is it not fabulous!?
3
My son has been after a gown for a long time… I found this number at Zara Home. So cute!
4
When it comes to children’s bedding, you can never go wrong at The White Company.
5
Another recent gem found in Dubai (there are so many that I need to share) is The Little Lala Co. ‘Mompreneur’ and owner, Catherine McEvoy, designs bespoke wall art made of cutouts backed by patterned papers or fabrics. You can purchase her ready made options or have something made specifically to match your child’s room, using a paper or fabric of your choice.
Jamal the camel must be a best-seller with expats living in Dubai. What a great keepsake to take back home one day.
6
These canvas storage baskets from Pottery Barn Kids are a firm favorite in my kids’ rooms – they are so practical and easy to wash.
7
I just adore this tricolour rug from Zara Home.
