Printable Christmas Stationery Set 2018

04/12/2018

Designing a set of free printable Christmas gift tags for you, our lovely readers and social media followers, has become somewhat of a tradition around here. With the exception of last year (and I’m not even sure what happened there), I have put out a set from the very beginning in 2013 through 2014, 2015 and 2016. It’s quite interesting to look back at the style evolution over the years. As any reliable advent calendar will tell you, Christmas is just around the corner. Which means the annual gift wrapping marathon is about to commence and we are due to deliver some printables for your downloading pleasure.

This year, we have a special edition of our gift tags. Instead of offering you just a regular graphic design, we reached our to one of our favourite illustrators, the lovely Camilla Hind, and asked her if should would be willing to do a custom illustration for this year’s gift tags. Camilla illustrates everything from custom prints, to cards and stationery and we are smitten with her work to say the least. In fact, we were so thrilled with the result of the beautiful illustration that she made just for us, that we have taken things a step further for this year and created a stationery set, including the gift tags, name cards and an editable menu template for your table settings. So we have you covered for more than just gift wrapping.

As we were all caught up in the spirit of things, we decided to pull together a festive table setting to photograph the stationery and we had such fun with it. We used a few really cute serve ware items on the table so let us know if you’d like to see more detail on that in a separate post. In the meantime, here’s a look at this year’s gift tags.

The name cards have been designed with a simple fold-over method and we have made sure that they look good from whatever angle you see them from at the table – be straight on or from above, it’s pretty from all sides. We also opted not to make these cards editable so that you can write the guests names for a more personal touch. It may be time to pull out the fancy pen.

Lastly, we have the menu template. Christmas dinner or lunch just got fancy schmancy. We have set the template up as a powerpoint document for easy editing and I hope that the font settings will remain in the text box. You can of course change the fonts as you wish, but if you want to keep the look as we have it in the images, be sure that the headings are set to Avenir, 8 pt and the description text below is Goudy Old Style, 9pt. For best results, print all of the documents on A4 borderless size and ensure that your printer is set to its best print quality.

We would love to see how you use these stationery bits for your own festivities. Please share them on social media using the hashtag #HOHXmas

Here are the links to the three printable documents: gift tags | name cards | menu
